How to know who you are

2 Corinthians 5:17
“Now we look inside, and what we see is that anyone united with the Messiah gets a fresh start, is created new. The old life is gone; a new life emerges!
If you want to know how something works, you ask its maker. The instruction manual that comes with any new appliance will tell you exactly how to test and use the product. In the same way, we have many questions about ourselves. We ponder the meaning of life and our purpose on Earth.
Well, there’s good news! You can ask the One who made you! When you accepted Jesus in your heart, He made you brand new. Your very nature has changed, like getting a heart of flesh in return for a heart of stone (Ezekiel 36:26).
God loves you so much that He clothes you in righteousness and royal clothing and makes you His son or daughter. The amazing renewal work of God changes everything about us. Just one taste of God’s living water changed you completely and caused a well to spring up inside you (John 4:14)!
God is the Miracle worker who brought you back to life from a sleepwalking state where you were trapped in sin. The key to understanding how to live a FULL life is found in Him.
Take-away:
God gives you a new identity and changes you from the inside out!
Prayer:
Thank You, God, for making me all new. In Your great love, You wash me clean and give me a new identity. I am thankful for Your renewal and the new life that I now have in Christ. May I always live with this awareness, Amen.
Challenge:
Before you react to something today, pause and ask God what He wants you to do. A new creation knows its Maker in all he does.
