Exodus 3:13-14
Then Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the People of Israel and I tell them, ‘The God of your fathers sent me to you’; and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ What do I tell them?”
God said to Moses, “I-AM-WHO-I-AM. Tell the People of Israel, ‘I-AM sent me to you.’”

When we read our Bibles and speak to or about God, we all have a picture in our minds of what He’s like. It can be hard to imagine what God looks like physically since He is invisible - but we can see God’s character in all He does.
Somebody once said that seeing God is like seeing the wind in the trees. You can’t see the wind, but you can see its effects. In the same way, God is involved in our lives, moving things along, and always nearby, even when we cannot see or feel His presence just know that He is there.
God does not change like shifting shadows or wind currents (James 1:17). He is the same, yesterday, today, and forevermore (Hebrews 13:8).
Today’s verse shows God telling Moses: “I am”. God is your Creator, your loving Father, your Saviour, and your Redeemer. The Bible is full of verses that tell us what He is like: Slow to anger, abounding in love, quick to forgive, and so much more!
Take-away:
God is who He is. We can see His presence in our lives if we look closely.
Prayer:
Dear God, Thank You for being so solid. You never change and Your heart is always for me. Help me to see Your presence in my life. I have faith that You are working all things out and that You are not far from me. Would You come near today and show Yourself to me in new ways? Amen.
Challenge:
Notice the wind in the trees today and thank God for His always-near presence.
